Why Colombia?

In 2013, we made the life-changing decision to move from the UK to Colombia, and it was the best decision we ever made! For four years, we explored one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, experiencing its stunning landscapes, rich cultures, and magical energy. We knew we wanted to bring a piece of that vibrancy back to the UK, sharing the joy and warmth we found there with others.

 

The name:

In Colombia, and lots of other Latin American countries, the word 'Gringo' is a friendly (or sometimes teasing) term for a foreigner. During our time there, locals often called us ‘Gringos’. We embraced the humour of it and thought it perfectly captured the spirit of our Colombian-inspired business. And so, Los Dos Gringos was born!

 

Our vision:

Our mission is simple: to empower people to make choices that bring joy into their lives. From the Caribbean sunshine to the ancient indigenous cultures that inspire our café, to the laughter-filled music and warm hospitality, we want every visit to feel like a mini escape. We also take joy in offering ethically sourced Colombian coffee and chocolate, plant-based options, and sustainable choices, so our customers can make an impact while indulging in what they love.

We’re passionate about celebrating Colombia. About promoting social enterprise and global citizenship, empowering plant-based lifestyles, and protecting the environment. At Los Dos Gringos, we hope every customer leaves knowing their choices matter, no matter how small.
